Masking fluids are used for watercolor paintings to protect areas where no paint is desired. Some fluids have a tint included that settles on the bottom: therefore the use of the tint is optional. Also called liquid frisket, they are useful for brush applied and airbrush applied paints. It is recommended that you use a lower quality brush for masking, and that you use that brush exclusively for masking.

Masks work on paper when color is applied in broad washes. Apply with brush or pen. Ensure fluid is dry before painting. Remove with eraser when painting is dry. Consists of rubber/ammonia/pigment. 2.5 fl. oz.
